Tips for Displaying Work at OBGYN

Here is a tip for getting your work seen at local OBGYN offices in your area.   Offer them a coffee table book for their patients to browse through in the waiting room instead of artwork for the walls.  Almost everyone picks up a magazine to read in the waiting room so why not offer them something they their patients can enjoy.  Most offices are usually decorated already with artwork, so your chances of getting your foot in the door are much better with this option. There are many labs printing albums at a small quantity.  Send a letter to several OBGYNs and take orders in advance.  Offer them the book for FREE and you will be surprised how many orders you will have.

A Baby\'s Eyes

Did you know that a baby's eyes at birth are almost the size they will be at adulthood? I photograph newborns everyday at my studio in Duluth or at my studio at a local hospital.  I always photograph newborns with their eyes open.  Sure the sleeping baby photos are cute, but don't forget the awake ones. The parents will thank you and your sales will be higher.

Newborn Photography Tip for Week of March 15

Most of our newborn sessions last around 2 hours because we need the baby to be sleeping during the session.  Newborns love to be warm, and when they are warm they sleep. Keep your studio temperature around 80 degrees and always use a concealed heating pad for the baby to lay on.  Keep the heating pad on warm and it will work like a charm.   You can also use one of our crocheted cocoons for keep the baby warm and snuggly.  Check our our line of cocoons at our website under the newborn props
