Education and Props for Newborn Photographers

This is my first official post.  I am so happy to be finally getting my program off the ground.  I have been working on it for nearly one year and some of the best photographers in the industry have helped me. 

The babies on the left are Madison and Emerson.  The mother brought them in to my studio when they were just 3 weeks old.

How did I manage to get them to sleep during the session?   Babies will only cry for 4 reasons: they are hungry, tired, sick or cold.  I cannot control the first 3 but I can control the heat.  I turn up the heat to 80 degrees and sometimes I use a heating pad (set to low) underneath their blankets.

So now you know my first secret to a successful newborn session.  Have the mom feed the babies, make sure they are not tired or sick and keep your space WARM!!!
